Gateway Classic Cars is proud to offer this 2004 Ford Thunderbird, part of the 11th and final generation of the iconic model, designed as a retro-inspired throwback to the original 1955-1957 two-seaters. While it sits on a modern (for the time) Lincoln LS chassis, its styling features classic cues like an eggcrate grille, round headlamps, equipped with the optional removable hardtop with signature porthole windows with a greenish tint that matches the coloring of the car. This model year benefited from an engine update introduced in 2003, providing more power than the initial 2002 relaunch. Engine: 3.9-liter DOHC V8 producing 280 horsepower and 286 lb-ft of torque. Transmission: 5-speed automatic with optional Select Shift manual control. Fuel Economy: Approximately 15-17 city / 21-23 highway MPG. Drive Type: Rear-wheel drive. Seating: Strictly a 2-passenger roadster. this model is the Pacific Coast Roadster. A top-tier limited edition for 2004, featuring a unique Monterey Mist green paint and a light ash/dark ash two-tone interior. Often noted, while the V8 is peppy, the car is tuned as a smooth cruiser rather than a high-performance sports car. Monterey Mist Green Paint: A unique metallic gray-green exterior color exclusive to this edition. Two-Tone: Features a removable Ash Metallic hardtop with iconic porthole windows and a light ash power-folding soft top. Preferred Suede Interior: The only 2002-2005 Thunderbird to use cloth seating surfaces, featuring a unique Preferred Suede (specially designed cloth) in a light and dark ash two-tone scheme. Unique Trim Patterns: The dash and door panels feature a specialized dot pattern trim. Cream-Colored Gauges: The instrument cluster uses cream-colored faces with turquoise-tipped needles. Numbered Plaque: Each vehicle includes a commemorative plaque inside the glove box identifying its specific production number out of 1,000.
